Often times, children are taught less than useful habits when it is time to sleep. Parents may unknowingly have given a child
some food, or energy, right before bed; may have given allergy medication that amps up a child; tucks the child in and winds up
getting them excited; the boogie man keeps the child on alert. In each of these situations, a habit of staying awake and alert is
created can last long into the adult years. The reasons may be different, but the outcome is the same; feeling tired in the morning,
lacking energy and being frustrated lying awake in bed at night.

falling asleep, while others have frequent awakenings during the night with some difficulty falling back to sleep. And still others
might find themselves waking up much too early in the morning still feeling as if they could use more sleep. Poor sleeping habits
may cause further problems during the day, such as tiredness, a lack of energy, difficulty concentrating, and irritability.
Often problems with sleeping are due to the conscious mind's preoccupation with fears, worries, stress, anger, and emotional
conflicts. The mind sometimes has a hard time letting go of its conscious processing, a necessary step to getting a good night's sleep.
